In May 2016, Plymouth Marine Laboratory and the University of Exeter launched a £1M environmental Single Cell Genomics (SCG) Facility, dedicated to applying cutting edge molecular techniques to better understand microbial community diversity and function, and their role in shaping marine biogeochemistry.
Applications are sought from outstanding researchers seeking to establish an independent research group focused around single cell genomics, exploiting and building on the unique infrastructure already in place.
