Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science (CEFAS) is currently looking for a Senior Coastal Processes Scientist to lead and deliver coastal oceanography and geomorphology projects withing CEFAS’ commercial and commercial and government portfolios. The role will incorporate several different tasks and responsibilities. Chief amongst these will be working within a project team monitoring and interpreting the effects of, for example, new nuclear electric power stations on the coastal nearshore, including potential impacts on sediment transport, coastal configuration, flood risk and ecology. In terms of qualifications, the candidate must possess a Higher Degree and relevant experience in an appropriate coastal dynamics, geomorphology or coastal engineering discipline.
