The Institut des sciences de la mer de Rimouski (ISMER), part of the Université du Québec à Rimouski, invites application for a regular tenure track faculty position in marine chemistry with the primary focus in ecotoxicology or environmental toxicology. The candidate’s expertise should include the accumulation, transport and impact of contaminants (hydrocarbons, pesticides, emerging contaminants, nanoparticles) on the functioning and dynamics of aquatic food webs,
modeling impacts of contaminants on marine ecosystems, application of omic techniques in ecotoxicology, and risk assessment of toxic exposition. The successful candidate should also demonstrate a strong expertise in fieldwork. He/she will be encouraged to develop his/her own research program, and collaborate with biologists, chemists, physicists and geologists from the Institute and the University. He or she must be able to contribute to the M.Sc. and PhD programs through teaching and graduate student supervision. The working language is French, but strong
candidates with another first language will be considered.

The candidate must have a PhD in marine chemistry, ecotoxicology, environmental chemistry or related field with a thesis in ecotoxicology

The deadline for application is April 28, 2017. The selected candidate is expected to start in August 2017.
