New sustainable livelihoods toolkit features case studies and guidance

The Nature Conservancy (TNC), in partnership with the NOAA Coral Reef Conservation Program, has developed a comprehensive Sustainable Livelihoods Toolkit to support communities in creating lasting, environmentally conscious ways of living. This valuable resource combines core concepts of sustainable living with practical implementation strategies, featuring real-world case studies of successful community enterprises and detailed guidance for initiative development. Drawing from TNC’s Indigenous & Community-Led Conservation Approach and Voice, Choice, & Action Framework, the toolkit is designed to bridge conservation efforts with co-management practices, fostering meaningful partnerships between conservation organizations, local communities, and Indigenous Peoples.
