The Tropical Resource Mapping Research Group of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in collaboration with PORSEC Association, UTMLead, COSPAR and Asia Pacific Network for Global Change Research are pleased to organize a virtual capacity building development program on “Ocean Remote Sensing towards Climate Resilience”. The focus is to enhance the capacity building among early-career scientists towards sustainable and climate resilience through effective ocean monitoring by satellite remote sensing.

There are 13 modules available through pre-recorded videos, and a student-mentorship program (synchronize or non-synchronized) to conduct/discuss grouped projects.

Upon completion of the course, a certificate will be awarded to successful participants who complete the course.
Tuition Fee Waiver for Early Career Scientists
Limited sponsorship in a form of a tuition fee waiver is available from the Asia Pacific Network (APN) for Global Change Research under the Capacity Building Development (CAPaBLE) grant program to support Early-Career Scientists (ESC) from the APN developing country members.
Who is eligible to apply for the tuition fee waiver?
a. Early-career scientists/scientists or practitioners 40 years of age or under (research students/ research assistants and post-docs) from APN countries.
b. He/she should be one of the following:
– An undergraduate degree holder with five years of related working experience;
– A postgraduate working towards a PhD. or Master;
– A Master’s degree holder with two years of related working experience;
– A PhD. degree holder;
– A postdoctoral student.
