How can a two-person team make a difference in the fight against Arctic marine pollution? The forScience Foundation proved it’s possible with their remarkable Sørkapp Marine Litter Cleanup project in Svalbard. In just two years, this determined Polish NGO removed over 8 tons of marine litter from Spitsbergen’s remote southwestern coast.
Today, the team continues their mission through the EU-funded ICEBERG project and the upcoming Sørkappøya Marine Litter Cleanup. Their work goes beyond collection – they’re gathering crucial data about Arctic marine pollution in areas rarely visited by humans.
Join our upcoming webinar to discover how small-scale initiatives can achieve significant environmental impact. Learn about the challenges of Arctic cleanup operations, the importance of data collection, and the complexities of implementing environmental policies in remote regions. The forScience team will share practical insights from their experience that could inspire your own conservation efforts.
