The EcoScope Project, funded by the European Commission, aims to promote effective and efficient, ecosystem-based approach to fisheries management. EcoScope will develop an interoperable platform, a robust decision-making toolbox, a series of online courses and a mobile application. These tools will be available through a single public portal, to promote an efficient, ecosystem-based approach to the management of fisheries and achieve maximum and continuous stakeholder engagement.
Ecoscope is integrated by an international group of researchers who are seeking to understand what people wish to see in future fisheries management. Through a stakeholder survey, the team seeks to derive information about the individual well-being, fish consumption, perception on fishing impacts, exposure of individuals to marine environment and knowledge about ecosystem-based fisheries management.
You can access the survey here. The deadline for participation is 27 October 2024.
