2 Phd and 1 Post-doc positions Tropical Fish Ecology Lab

I am looking for 2 PhD students (from August 2017) and 1 post-doctoral researcher (2 years from January 2017) to join my Tropical Fish Ecology Lab (http://www.tropicalfishecologylab.com) at Florida International University (FIU). Please see http://www.tropicalfishecologylab.com/join-the-lab for more details and application requirements.

Briefly, all three positions have significant flexibility to work on topics related to coral-reef fish ecology and conservation, but are likely to focus on the Florida Keys. Funding for the PhD positions is dependent on the successful applicants obtaining Teaching Assistantships at FIU. Review of applications for all positions will begin on 26th September.

FIU is a public research university in Miami with a highly diverse, vibrant, and growing student body located near the edge of the Everglades. Our multiple campuses serve over 50,000 students, placing FIU among the ten largest universities in the nation. FIU is Carnegie-designated as both a research university with the highest research activity and a community-engaged university. FIU leads the nation in granting bachelor’s degrees in the STEM fields to minority students, and is first in awarding STEM master’s degrees to Hispanics. FIU is a member of the State University System of Florida and is an Equal Opportunity, Equal Access Affirmative Action Employer. FIU has a strong and growing marine science profile through the Institute for Water and Environment (http://inwe.fiu.edu/) and Marine Sciences Program (https://marine.fiu.edu/).
