Survey on detection of non-native species (marine and estuarine ecosystems)

The Smithsonian Environmental Research Center is conducting an online survey to assess the use of standardized measures, which are repeated across multiple years at the same sites, explicitly for detection and evaluation of NIS in nearshore marine and estuarine communities. The primary goal of the research is to characterize the current geographic and habitat distribution, methods, and frequency of Sentinel Site surveys to assess NIS invasions over time in marine and estuarine environments.

You are invited to participate by completing the survey, which should take around 20 minutes, by 1 May 2024.
