The Ocean knowledge Action Network (Ocean KAN) is an international knowledge sharing organization with a mission to catalyze and facilitate the co-creation of ocean science for sustainable development, with a particular focus on supporting the work of the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development. The Ocean KAN is part of the Future Earth network.

The Ocean KAN is led by an international Steering Committee, hosted by the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) and is located at the Sorbonne University (Pierre et Marie Curie Campus), France.

The Ocean KAN is seeking a Science Officer to work hand-in-hand with the Executive Director to build this global knowledge action network. The Science Officer will work in a dynamic international setting on a range of issues related to the co-creation of science and will participate in all activities pertaining to the administrative, strategic, and scientific development of the Ocean KAN.

Duration of contract: 1-year contract (renewable subject to satisfactory performance)

Location: Paris (France)
