Organized by IOC/UNESCO and Prada Group, the Conference brings together the ocean literacy and ocean education communities from around the world to promote a more harmonious relationship between humans and the ocean.
To affirm collective efforts for equity and justice, the Conference will develop and sign a document, provisionally entitled the Venice Declaration for Ocean Literacy. This Declaration will provide concrete recommendations for integrating Ocean Literacy into policy-making efforts, and represents a significant milestone in the preparatory process for the third UN Ocean Conference (UNOC3) that will be co-hosted by the Governments of France and Costa Rica in Nice, France, on 9-13 June 2025.
Registration closes on 19 April and can be done here.
