The Marine Institute in Ireland are recruiting two Scientific and Technical Officers to work within the demersal fisheries team. The maximum duration of these temporary specified purpose DCMAP – EMFF funded contracts of employment will be up to 31st December 2020.
The DCMAP Scientific and Technical Officer (STO) Data Management will work within the demersal fisheries team on the data collection and assessment of demersal fish stocks in Irish waters. The job will focus on data preparation and analysis for stock assessments and DCF/DCMAP data calls; processing and statistical analysis of sampling, logbook and VMS datasets. The DCMAP Scientific and Technical Officer (STO) will work within the demersal fisheries team on the data collection and assessment of demersal fish stocks in Irish waters.
